Khiva

We went to Khiva to see good examples of old-style Central Asian architecture, and it was our gateway north to Moynaq. We were also surprised to find that in addition to the museums and tourist shops in the Old Town, it was still a functioning town with people living in it and it was not necessarily a tourism stop that closed at night.

After this morning wander, we headed back through the desert , passing into Bukhara, and transferring into another vehicle for the ride back down to Karshi.
