Arenal

We had a nice hotel with a great view of the volcano (even better when the clouds would go away!) which mostly rumbled and kicked out giant boulders during the day, but at night the lava was visible. We went rappelling in river canyons, got rained on mightly (though that was a nice change from dusty desert, to be sure), hiked around, went to a hot springs, hiked to a waterfall and oddly blue river, and in general really enjoyed ourselves. The night shots of the volcano didn't come out liked I'd hoped, but if you look close you can see the lava. Probably should have been there on the dot at twilight or sunrise instead.
